Refurbishment Project  for Great Portland Estates

Project:

Refurbishment of an existing vacant and dilapidated 1960’s property.
Structural alterations to form skylights into the basement (formerly document storage space) and two sunken courtyards.
A fit out of Elm House, an existing building to CAT A standard. As well as a basement re-modification works.

 

Challenges:

Finding the right balance between expenditure and improving the asset in a difficult moment.
Extensive client change during the contract period. However, all achieved with minimal program impact.
Unforeseen arrangement in the structure.
Working adjacent to large news studio.
