Project:

Demolition of an existing 1960’s office building and construction of a modern 8 storey mixed use building, primarily CAT A office with A1/A3 retail at ground. D1 use in the basement
Terraces are located at the 1st floor, 6th floor and on the roof level.

 

 

Challenges: 

Complex planning issues and the need to meet the high standards of architectural design required by Westminster Council whilst also working within the constraints of the cost plan.
Constrained central London site.
The awkward site shape of the site made it difficult to maintain efficient layout.
Façade design became more complex during the design stages, leading to challenges in achieving the internal design.
