Key Skills: Marta is a highly organized person with self-motivation. She genuinely enjoys collaborating with others, as she's a people person and always approachable. Working in the hospitality business has taught her to have a strong client-first philosophy and confident attitudes. Knowledge and studies are very important to Marta; from her Associates Degree in Office Technologies achieved in NY and Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management in London, they tend to continue learning, pushing themselves to learn something new every single day.
Role: Marta's role at C&P as assistant project manager has many involvements in the company. She works closely with the project managers and directors, coordinating projects from start to finish. Marta directs good flow of communication within the client, them, and the contractors, ensuring everyone is up to speed on tasks, surveys, and has the necessary resources to do their work effectively. She makes recommendations to the clients on possible appointments and ensures they are the right fit for the scheme, keeping in mind time, cost, and scope. Marta learns every day from colleagues and enjoys the teamwork culture at C&P.
Background: Growing up in the United States has taught me to adjust quickly to changing environments, people, places, and roles. Working across various departments within the hospitality industry has perfected my understanding of how to efficiently run all business operations. Aspiring to one day open my own hotel in the future, I welcomed the opportunity of a small boutique hotel opening in Chelsea. Where I found a passion for project management. Coordinating all steps of hotel opening from construction phase to full day-to-day operations, where I found the curiosity of becoming a PM. I then decided to take short courses of project management with APM at University of Westminster while a new opportunity as an assistant project manager arose with C&P.
