2017 has been an exciting year for all at C&P – you will see the variety of projects, company and charity related activities we have engaged in. Our close knit staff team have delivered consistently throughout the year and everyone is looking forward to a well-earned festive break before resuming at the coal face again after the holidays. The unofficial company moto of “Go big or go home” has been well and truly lived up to in this busy, full on, but very enjoyable year. To all the clients, fellow consultants and professional associates we wish you all a peaceful break from the office and look forward to going big again in 2018. – Andrew Chisholm, Managing Director.

This year we are delighted with the project wins secured. We now have five hotel projects that we are working on including Nadlet Hotels in Covent Garden, Sloane Gardens’ Boutique Hotel at One Sloane Gardens, and an extension of The Hampton by Hilton, Waterloo for Shiva Hotels.

Company Expansion
In February Managing Director Andrew Chisholm attended the Mortgage Bankers Association CREF Conference 2017 in the United States as part of Capital and Provincial’s ongoing relationship with GRS (US) and other International projects. Alongside this Capital and Provincial forged and maintained many new and existing working relationships with great organisations such as Martins Properties, Joe and the Juice, Cadogan Estates and Nadler Hotels among many others.
The most notable company expansion of 2017 was our acquisition of BSVP which we completed at the end of September;
‘We are delighted to announce that after several years of collaboration on a number of projects and long term commitments, we have acquired BSVP Building and Project Consultants. The directors and staff of BSVP will be joining Capital and Provincial with effect from 1st October 2017. BSVP specialises in all aspects of building surveying, building consultancy, project management, quantity surveying, technical services, environmental and energy services.’
C&P Managing Director Andrew Chisholm commented “Both companies have had a longstanding very effective working relationship and by joining forces at this stage we can continue the high service levels and performance excellence that we currently offer our clients with added strength in depth. BSVP bring with them a wealth of building surveying and cost consultancy experience to compliment the project management and delivery expertise at the core of the Capital and Provincial service offer.”

New Staff
In 2017 we welcomed 3 Interns; Theo Lewis, Seb Best and Tom Clark alongside a permanent staff member towards the end of the year in Helen Clark. Helen will be working in the role of FF&E coordinator. This role was part of a newly launched service: FF&E Procurement Management, headed by Dorian Dreyfus who joined us earlier in the year from The Nadler Hotel Group where amongst other roles he was responsible for the FF&E and OS&E procurement for all the hotels in the group. Dorian in turn is supported by Helen Clark who joined the company just a few weeks ago. They are looking forward to a busy 2018 with one major win already under their belts. Alongside these additions Capital and Provincial also welcomed our new colleagues form our acquisition of BSVP aswell as expanding our marketing division with Director Jez Dyer’s son Jared taking on a larger role and adding more social media, in-house design and news publishing to our company.
Completed Projects
2017 saw some notable projects we were involved in complete. Some of those that stood out were a completed fit out of our 33 Jermyn Street project, prime retailers moving into the award winning George House (131 Sloane Street) with Cadogan and Stiff and Trevellion. Most recently we have seen the completion of 55 Wells Street with Great Portland Estates and Buckley Grey Yeoman. In addition to these a further two floors of Cat A space has been completed at City Tower for Great Portland Estates.
2017 also saw visits from American Healthcare Investors and Colony Northstar to our almost completed 97 bed Kingsclear care home in Camberley, built for caring homes by MP Brothers. This work was part of our ongoing relationship with GRS. We are also delighted to welcome Quadrant from Atlanta to view two of the projects we are monitoring for them here in the UK.
Awards
Two of our projects for Cadogan Estates, won notable awards during 2017. Earlier in the year the design for the Duke of York Restaurant won the New London Architecture Award for its state-of-the-art design. Last month George House (131 Sloane Street) won the ‘Mixed-use Development’ at the UK Property Awards.

Justin has at the time of writing this raised over £4000, and is still trying to raise more as we get closer and closer to his January deadline. As part of Justin’s charity effort we will be donating to his cause instead of distributing Christmas Cards this year.
