PROJECT MANAGER
Key Skills: James is a recognised leader with a hands-on approach which allows for close interaction with all stakeholders assisting in risk mitigation and solution discovery where necessary. His keen eye for detail and pragmatism results in concise reporting and presentation of project briefs on the client’s behalf. Matched with a drive to efficiently achieve project objectives James emanates a natural guidance toward each party in achieving the common goal.
Role: James conducts regular meetings with the professional team and carries out site checks monitoring project progress and budget. With this he provides regular reports to the client as well as consultation on any matters that may arise, acting as the liaison between client and professional team.
Background: James joined Capital & Provincial from South Africa having spent 7 years in the property industry before venturing upon new horizons in London. James completed his Honours degree in Property Studies at the University of Cape Town – a BSc covering the A-Z of the built environment – and remained in the city to delve into the world of commercial property brokering. He then moved on to manage matters in the property portfolio of Grindrod Limited, a multi-billion shipping and logistics conglomerate headquartered in Durban. After a brief stint of travelling James saw an opportunity to take on the rapidly expanding, coastal, high-end residential market in both Durban and Cape Town where he orchestrated various development projects and broadened his skill set into construction management.
